About the Role
The M&A Analyst will be at the epicenter of our growth! This role is ideal for someone who thrives when asked to translate volumes of data points into a clear, cohesive picture that will inform senior leadership and influence acquisition decisions.  Working closely with our Vice President of Corporate Development, the M&A Analyst will support TSS’s end to end deal lifecycle from sourcing to final closing and integration. The M&A Analyst will help ensure that TSS’s growth is thoughtful and profitable, and that new acquisitions are onboarded smoothly and effectively to minimize disruption to customers and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Support sourcing initiatives including attending management calls, interfacing with external brokers and maintaining the M&A pipeline
  • Prepare financial models, valuations, and standardized financial data presentations to assess acquisition opportunities and support investment decisions, including quality of earnings analysis, normalization adjustments, synergy assessments and benchmarking.
  • Support deal execution by preparing letters of intent, reviewing transaction documentation, and preparing investment committee and internal analyses
  • Coordinating diligence request lists including managing virtual data rooms, document collection, organization, and distribution to ensure efficient collaboration between internal teams, external advisors, and acquisition targets.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to conduct financial and operational due diligence by analyzing target company information, identifying key risks and opportunities, and communicating findings to support acquisition recommendations.
  • Partner closely with internal management, Private Equity owners, as well as external legal and accounting advisors, providing financial and operational data and responding to questions throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with acquisition targets by coordinating visits, calls, information requests, communicating transaction requirements, and serving as a trusted point of contact throughout the deal process.
  • Prepare internal analysis, pre LOI bid analysis, investment committee presentations and ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, business development activities, and acquisition decision-making.
  • Support and track integration activities with newly acquired businesses ensuring that businesses are onboarded quickly and internal stakeholders remain on track with required integration activities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on finance or accounting
  • 2–4 years of experience in corporate finance, financial due diligence, investment banking, corporate development, or a similar transaction-focused environment
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills with strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for developing executive-level presentations and materials
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • CPA, CFA or CBV designation considered an asset
